INTRO TO POLE DANCING

Fridays at 6:45pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 6:15pm

Level: Very beginner.  If you have never done anything like this before, this class is for you.  No experience needed. 

Intensity: Beginner.  Your feet don’t leave the ground until you feel ready.

Description: No matter your age, fitness level, or background, you CAN learn the art of pole dancing! In just a few short weeks, you will become stronger, sexier, and more confident. Take one pole dancing lesson and you will be hooked. In this class you will learn basic floor work, walks, spins, and pole holds. Your feet will not leave the ground until YOU feel ready. Students may stay in this class until they feel comfortable to move on and then are welcome to progress to any our Beginner or open level pole classes. Warning: This class is addicting.

What to wear: Shorts to expose the skin on your legs, and short sleeves/tank top/sports bra to expose the skin on the arms. Bare feet are appropriate. Please see our FAQ pages for more information.

SENSUAL MOVEMENTS

Level: All levels welcome. No experience needed.

Intensity: Beginner to Advanced using the pole as a prop to perform sexy movements.

Description: Grind your hips. Throw your hair. Crawl on the floor and let your hands wander all over your body. Get ready because your workout is about to get sexy! Discover your own sensuality as your instructor takes you through a complete body workout.

You may learn:

  • How to use the pole
  • How to work the wall
  • Hair tossing
  • Hip grinding
  • Body waves
  • Pole slides
  • A sexy dance combination and more…

What to wear: Whatever makes you feel comfortable and sexy! * High heels that will stay secure on your feet are appropriate. (Can be barefoot.) * Knee pads and/ or leg warmers are appropriate.

POLE DIVA

Level: All levels welcome. No experience needed.

Intensity: This class is designed for the curvy dancer with more meat on their bones but is open to anyone.  Beginner to Advanced depending on experience.

Description: It’s that voice inside you screaming to get out and be heard. It’s that fire that you feel in the pit of your stomach. It’s your inner Diva and she wants out.

Inspired by Roz “The Diva” Mays’ workshop, this pole dancing class is designed for the PLUS- Sized body type but is welcome to anyone that feels the need to be Diva-licious! We will work with you on basic spins, floor movement, transitions and conditioning. Students will also experiment with tempo, eye contact, posture and moving with intent. We will work with each person’s body type, which means each person will be able to work within their comfort zone and see result almost immediately.

What to wear: Exposed skin is what allows you to grip the pole.  Wear what you will feel comfortable in.  We suggest shorts to expose the skin on your legs, and short sleeves/tank top/sports bra to expose the skin on the arms. POLE FITNESS

Level: Beginner to Advanced. No experience needed although some pole experience will enhance your experience.

Intensity: Think of this class as a vertical “CrossFit”.  Cardio, strength training, and pole acrobatics are taught in this class.

Description: Vertical strength training is seen everywhere from American Ninja Warrior to Cirque Du Soleil.  Our Pole Fitness class combines endurance, strength, and pole movements to give you an invigorating workout that will keep you coming back for more! Almost every muscle will be engaged and used in this class. We offer a new format every week, guaranteed to get your body into its finest shape yet!

Push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and other body conditioning moves will be performed. Climbing, inversions, and more complicated skills are taught to those that are physically ready to advance.

Level: Beginner to advanced.  Completion of Intro to Pole or prior pole experience is recommended.

Intensity: Low to high intensity depending on skill level.  Dance choreography is taught in this class.

Description: Learn how to blend those pole tricks and spins together into the beautiful art of dance. Pole Flow will show you transitions and choreography incorporating a variety of different styles from sexy to stylish. This is a mixed level class and the tricks incorporated will be determined by the level of participants

Description: This class focuses on posture, safety, dance fundamentals, and technique. You’ll be shocked at how much strength and skill you build each week as you move through challenging yet basic pole spins, climbs, holds, and combinations. Basic climbs and inverts will be taught in this class if instructor feels you are physically ready.

SPINS AND TRICKS

Level: This class is open for anyone who has completed Intro to Pole and wants to learn at a higher level.

Intensity: Low to high intensity depending on skill level.

Description: This is a open level pole dancing class. The instructor will take you through a warm-up of core strength conditioning and flexibility to warm-up your muscles, allow time to learn and review your spins, climbs, and inverts, followed by a cool down of stretches to soothe and relax your muscles.

**Please Note- Spins and Tricks does not teach choreography and will only be focusing on learning techniques. For choreography, please see Sensual Movements or Pole Flow.

POLE PLAYGROUND

Intensity: Determined by you.

Description: This is open practice time. Instructor will be present to spot and assist you, but this is NOT an instructor led class and you WILL NOT be taught new tricks. You are responsible for your own warm up, your own skills to work on, and clean up after class.

PLEASE READ CANCELLATION POLICY

CLASSES:

Our scheduling system allows you to cancel a class up to 12 hours before the class starts without being charged for that class. If you cancel within 12 hours of the class starting, you will be charged for the full class and a refund or credit will not be issued. We pay the instructors and block off your space in expectation that you are coming. Failure to show is not fair to the instructors, or to the person that may have wanted to take your place in the class.

LATE ARRIVALS:

Late arrivals will NOT be allowed into class and WILL be considered a late cancel.   Please understand our policy is for good reason: safety (a proper warm up is mandatory), security (we lock our studio doors), and respect (cuts into other people’s time).  Arrive 15 minutes before the start of your class. Please plan for traffic, parking and be on time to avoid loosing your class or being charged a late cancellation fee.
