This class about learning to feel and understand your “pole muscle” engagement as you perform exercises on and off the pole. 
 
You do not need to already “be strong” to take this class. There will be exercises that everyone can be performed regardless of level. 
 
Newbies welcomed and encouraged.

Learn how to blend those pole tricks and spins together into the beautiful art of dance.

Pole Flow will show you transitions and choreography incorporating a variety of different styles from sexy to stylish.

This is a mixed level class and the tricks incorporated will be determined by the level of participants.

Each week we work on pole spins, climbs, holds, and combinations while focusing on posture, safety, dance fundamentals, and technique. 

Climbs and inverts will be taught in this class if instructor feels you are physically ready.

POLE COMPETITION

This training is for anyone that wants to compete or advance to their fullest potential.
Each week we will be working on various elements such as:
1. Fluidity: Making sure your transitions are smooth and look effortless. 
2. Technical: Making sure knees are straight, toes are pointed. shoulders are down, tricks are performed correctly, etc.  Clean, clean , clean!
3. Musicality: Making sure your dance is complimenting the musical highs, lows, hits, and phrasing.
4. Balance: Making sure your number has a balance of the elements you will be judge on such as flexibility, creativity, use of spin and static poles equally, etc.
5. Stamina: If you can run it multiple times, even when you are tired, sick, etc, then you can do it once perfectly during the competition.  
6. Performance: Making sure your story translates to the audience.  Making the audience feel something. When to be internal, when to emote externally, etc.
7. Oh Sh*t moments:  Preparing for anything that can happen. Pole doesn’t spin as fast. Pole too slippery, Music doesn’t start at the right time.  Music cuts off. Forgetting a prop. The show must go on!!!
8. Dress rehearsal/ Performance ready: Costuming, makeup, etiquette, etc.  
 
This is a full year commitment for people looking to train more than 2 classes a week.

Intensity: Depends on your skill level

Description: Privates give you the opportunity to work on your skill level at your own pace.  You will be in a private setting and will be given personal attention for the entire lesson.  Privates are appropriate for 1 to 3 people maximum.

Keep up to date with special workshops offered at Work It. 

Past workshops have included international pole athletes such as Marion Crampe, Rafaela Montanero, Samantha Star, Nadia Sharif, Natasha Wang, Michelle Natoli, Roz “The Diva” Mays, Crystal Belcher, and others. 

Other workshops include skills such as character building, competition choreography, musicality in movement, and more.

POLE PLAYGROUND
(Not an instructor led class)

This is open practice time. Instructor will be present to spot and assist you, but this is NOT an instructor led class and you WILL NOT be taught new tricks.

You are responsible for your own warm up, your own skills to work on, and clean up after class.

Pole experience is required.

PLEASE READ CANCELLATION POLICY
CLASSES:
Our scheduling system allows you to cancel a class up to 6 hours before the class starts without being charged for that class. If you cancel within 6 hours of the class starting, you will be charged for the full class and a refund or credit will not be issued. We pay the instructors and block off your space in expectation that you are coming. Failure to show is not fair to the instructors, or to the person that may have wanted to take your place in the class.
LATE ARRIVALS:
Late arrivals will NOT be allowed into class and WILL be considered a late cancel.   Please understand our policy is for good reason: safety (a proper warm up is mandatory), security (we lock our studio doors), and respect (cuts into other people’s time).  Arrive 15 minutes before the start of your class. Please plan for traffic, parking and be on time to avoid loosing your class or being charged a late cancellation fee.
