Welcome to Work It Dance and Fitness

Come for the Classes. Stay for How You Feel.

Work It is more than a dance and fitness studio. It is a community where people come to move, laugh, build confidence, challenge themselves, and feel genuinely supported.

Unique classes brought people through our doors. The community made Work It something much bigger.

How Work It Began

We wanted to create the kind of fitness studio we could not find anywhere else.

In 2010, Michelle and Tony opened Work It in the heart of South Norwalk with one goal: to offer unique dance and fitness experiences that felt nothing like a traditional big-box gym.

What developed was much more meaningful. Work It became a diverse community of people who encourage one another, celebrate progress, and make movement something to look forward to.

People may first discover us because they are curious about pole, dance, strength, flexibility, or a private experience. They stay because they feel empowered, supported, challenged, confident, and appreciated.

What Makes Work It Different?

We believe fitness should feel personal, encouraging, exciting, and worth looking forward to.

Come As You Are

You do not need to arrive strong, flexible, experienced, or confident. We will meet you where you are.

Be Challenged and Supported

We want you to surprise yourself while knowing that your instructor is there to guide and encourage you.

Find Joy in Movement

Exercise does not have to feel like punishment. It can be expressive, playful, empowering, and fun.

Belong to a Community

This is a place where people uplift one another, celebrate progress, and feel seen and appreciated.

Our Mission

To Make Movement Something You Look Forward to Again.

Through unique, welcoming dance and fitness experiences, we help people build strength, confidence, self-expression, connection, and joy while having fun along the way.
