Fatima joined the Doonya instruction team in 2016 after she saw Doonya being performed at an Art festival in Washington, DC and she fell in love with it! She began teaching Doonya at different locations in DC before the pandemic. She has been dancing since she was in high school and loves her culture and traditions from South Asia. Her energy is contagious and her background in education allows her to break down dance moves so that you can pick them up. Outside of Doonya, Fatima enjoys the arts, whether that is painting, poetry, or an open mic night.
